Well hello!! It has been WAY TOO LONG and I miss this!! Since I had a little extra time this morning due to an anatomy field trip I'm missing (dissecting actual dead humans? no thank you..), I thought I'd make a much-needed update post!

Here's what's been going on in my life...

{one} the musical

We just wrapped up Hairspray at my school, which I was originally cast in, but decided to opt out of and do makeup instead because of the scheduling demands.

The whole cast, crew, and pit:

Of all the shows do to makeup for, this was an excellent choice. The makeup was super fun but not too hard and I never got bored of watching!

{two} second semester

Second semester snuck up on me and I had a whole new set of demands very suddenly. Four of my classes changed, and I now have psychology, anatomy, creative writing, and gym. I only had homework in AP U.S. history and occasionally english before, but although these classes are fairly easy it's very difficult to multitask and focus on more than two classes. I'm really enjoying all my new classes, but hopefully I can get it together!

{three} music, films etc.

This is what I've been loving, watching, and listening to while I haven't been blogging about it:

1. The entire Lana Del Rey album Born To Die

2. Palo Alto (for the movie) by Devonte Hynes

3. The Requiem for a Dream soundtrack by Clint Mansell

4. Top of the Hill by The Conduits

5. Trainspotting (1996) which I rate 9/10

I honestly did not expect to like this movie as much as I did. I love how it was extremely realistic but also artistic, but it was more of a comedy than a drama. I can now say I have a favorite foreign film (even though it's totally in english.)

6. Electrick Children (2012)- 9.5/10

This was INSTANTLY a favorite and honestly one of the best movies I've seen so far from this decade. It took classic ideas but revamped them into something totally unique. It's on Netflix and I'd highly recommend!

7. What if (2014) 6.5/10

Ok so I thought this movie was gonna be good but then it was kinda just eh... like it ended and I was like wait what was that even about?? Some parts were funny and other parts were just weird. Also, Daniel Radcliffe will never not be Harry Potter.

8. Some movies I want to watch...

From Up On Poppy Hill
Basketball Diaries
Silence of the Lambs
The Dreamers

^^I saw the preview and actually died a bit inside but it's indie and I cannot find out any info of when it will be coming out mainstream so I will be in constant suspense

{four} the book

I may have briefly mentioned a few times that I'm writing a book. I am in complete shock. I can't believe I can actually admit this is seriously legit and not just one of my typical ambitious plans that end after like two days or I lose motivation to do. Like, I have 20,000 words written, which equals 80 book pages, and I show no signs of stopping because I actually think I'm incapable at this point. This is incredibly significant for me because I have developed a long-term goal and project that I'm actually addicted to. I'm not going to share any information about it until I have a completed draft, though, so you'll have to stay tuned...

Well, that was my update! In terms of blogging... it is STILL something that I plan to get back into even more intensely than I was but I just don't know when yet. It will be in the near future though.. maybe next four months.

Thank you to all my followers who have stuck by me during these hiatuses, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Have a great week!
